About Pablo Picasso (1881-1973)

Pablo Picasso was a Spanish painter, sculptor, and printmaker. Born in 1881, he is widely considered to be one of the most influential artists of the 20th century and one of the greatest artists of all time. Picasso's works are characterized by their innovative techniques and wide range of styles, including his groundbreaking contributions to the Cubist movement. He was known for his experimentation with form, color, and subject matter, and his works often convey a sense of energy, playfulness, and emotional intensity.

Over time, Picasso's style evolved from representational images to more abstract and innovative works, and he became a leading figure in the modern art movement. Today, Picasso's works continue to be celebrated for their beauty and significance, and his paintings can be found in major museums around the world. He remains one of the most famous and beloved artists of all time.

Pablo Picasso Art Lesson & Art Activity

Picasso’s varied styles enable the student artists to see all phases of his artistic life. Students will learn to identify Picasso’s different styles, including Cubism. Using a Cubist style, the children will draw and create a Cubist composition using and balancing all of the art elements. Your artists will use “chalk staining” to finish their masterpieces. Real Reviews from Real Teachers & Parents

See Why Everyone Loves Meet The Masters

Meet the masters continues to be one of the most successful programs at our school, with the largest consistent group of parent volunteers. Our students recognize art by “the masters” when they see it around town or on family trips. Students that call themselves “bad at art” have been delighted when they see the beautiful art they can create. Thank you for all you do to make this curriculum glow and shine. We love it and are so thrilled to continue to use it at our school!
