Paul Cézanne was a French artist who is considered a pioneer of the transition from Impressionism to modern art. Born in 1839, he is known for his innovative approach to still life and landscape painting, which combined the loose brushwork of Impressionism with a greater emphasis on structure and form. Cézanne's work was characterized by his use of color and his innovative treatment of space and depth. I used this program for 14 years a volunteer for our elementary school – it was so fun!
