Remember your first brushstroke? The sway of colors at your command?
Jack sure does.
“I love art and I really enjoyed when the teachers would come in and teach us about different art styles and artists,” Jack reflects on his days with ‘Meet the Masters’.
It was here he found more than art—it was the beginning of a lifelong passion.
Art isn’t just a subject. It’s a journey.
Jack’s led him from grade-school doodles to bold, personal creations. He learned from Seurat, experimented with pointillism, and now? He has a style of his own.
“It’s a reflection of a boat in a lake and we were taught about pointillism and just lots of different art styles and I really recommend it and it’s lots of fun,” he says, with a clear spark in his eyes.
Then there’s Ellie.
She turned lessons on Picasso’s cubism into a mosaic of creativity.
“I studied Picasso and learned about his cubism and creativity, and I love doing the projects in class,” she shares. Now at 20, she’s in college, and her art continues to thrive.
Her childhood companion, Lemon Drop, is now immortalized in watercolor. That’s a testament to the impact ‘Meet the Masters’ had on her.
“I just took a watercolor class last semester at university and I got to paint my favorite stuffed animal in childhood, best friend Lemon Drop,” Ellie recounts with nostalgia and pride.
Two students, two narratives, one beginning: ‘Meet the Masters’.
