Job Description for Classroom & Assembly Teacher (Part-Time)
Positions for 23-24 School Year
Overview:
Meet the Masters has been providing art education to K-6 schools for over 30 years. Due to the growing demand of our curriculum at additional schools in Southern California, we are seeking experienced teachers for the 2023-24 school year.
Requirements:
College graduate, experience with teaching elementary aged children. Knowledge of Meet the Masters program is a plus. Positions are part-time, and hours vary depending on openings in your area. Must be available M-F during school hours.
Classroom Teacher Duties:
Ability to work with K-6 grades in scripted one-hour art lessons. Trainings & materials provided. Classroom teacher will instruct students on a variety of Meet the Masters art projects. Candidates need experience teaching elementary aged children.
Assembly Teacher Duties:
Lead engaging art history presentations within assemblies to K-6 grade classes. Skilled in public speaking to groups with the ability to relate well to your audience in order to cover the material and make it come alive for the students.
Manager Duties:
Liaison between schools and instructors. Responsibilities include scheduling, art supply delivery, coordination with school facilitator, and facilitating contracts.
Skills Required:
Excellent communication skills, reliability, customer service, organization, conflict management, and the ability to interact positively with children and adults of all ages.
