Pablo Picasso or Pablo Pi-Costco?

Posted on May 18, 2011

A grandparent of a Meet the Masters student recently shared a very cute story about his granddaughter. His granddaughter had recently gone through the Pablo Picasso unit as a second grader at her school. She really enjoyed learning about Picasso’s history and especially his us cubist compositions. At the end of the art project, she was very pleased with her own ‘Picasso’ creation.

On their last trip to Costco, the grandfather shared that his granddaughter jumped out of the car in the parking lot and pointed to the sign saying: “Hey, we studied him in school the other day…Pablo Pi-Costco! – he painted the front and backs of things because he is a cubist”.

Everyone Loves MTM!

As an artist and educator for over 40 years, I have always prided myself on doing what is right for students. Having the resources that not only teach skills, but the standards and the art history connected to those skills is monumental.

Meet the Masters gives teachers and the students the language to articulate what the work is and what it means. MTM provides the curriculum and the tools to take art education to a different level. In today’s world, art is a means to connect culture, education, and who we are as a people.

Who better to learn from, than the Masters?
