Another Grandchild, Another Vincent van Gogh!

Posted on December 9, 2013

As the owner, founder and active teacher of Meet the Masters, I have accumulated many special memories while teaching art education to students over the last 25+ years.  Some of the most cherished memories include teaching art to my  grandchildren.  Not only have my own children gone through the Meet the Masters program (in Orange County, CA), but now my  three grandchildren have all experienced the program as well.  Two in San Diego and one in Orange County.

The latest ‘third generation artist’ is a kindergartner in San Clemente, CA named Jack.  He is shown below dressed up as Vincent van Gogh.  I thoroughly enjoyed teaching Jack and his class and watching them make connections that will last a lifetime.  It’s a thrill for me to see so many students falling in love with the master artists and even more enjoyable is passing it on to the newest artists in my own family.

Everyone Loves MTM!

I love MTM because it provides our kids with otherwise unavailable or limited art exposure. It gives them a chance to create and be inspired by amazing artists from different times in history, as well as within different mediums. Being a coordinator for MTM allows me the privilege of providing inspiration and creativity to kids just starting out on their educational journey- they never cease to amaze me with what they are able to express!
