Alexander Calder (1898-1976)
Alexander Calder’s abstract mobiles can be seen around the world. This American artist created imaginative mobiles, stabiles, and sculptures combining interesting shapes, colors, and motion. The children design and assemble their own mobiles and stabiles in Calder’s style.
